You likely qualify if: Household income of $62,000 or less; Over 65, 60 to 64 on GIS, or on disability benefits; Owned and lived there a year or more before Oct 31, 2026; No past-year taxes owing; utility account paid in full.
The City can cancel or put off (defer) your property tax increase, and give you a rebate on the water and solid waste parts of your utility bill. The cancellation is only for homes assessed below $975,000. If you qualify, the amounts are applied to your account, and you must reapply every year with your documents, by November 2, 2026 for the 2026 tax year.
