If you cannot afford your federal student loan payments, this plan can lower your payments or make them zero, based on your income. You apply every 6 months. Nobody stays in repayment more than 15 years (10 years for people with disabilities).

- Up to date on your payments
- Single: income under $3,866 a month

- Your NSLSC account or the paper form
- Your family income details
