- For whomPeople whose total family income is generally up to $40,000 for 1 person, $55,000 for 2, $60,000 for 3, $65,000 for 4 or $70,000 for 5 (plus $5,000 for each extra person), with income from work, pensions, benefits or scholarships and under $1,200 of interest; not for self-employment, rental income, capital gains, bankruptcy in the year, or foreign income.

Bring government photo ID, your Social Insurance Number, all your tax slips and receipts, and your last Notice of Assessment if you have it. Missed filing in past years? Ask if a volunteer can do your earlier returns too. Most clinics run from February to the end of April; at other times look for a clinic that is open year-round.
