Extended Employment Health Benefit (leaving Ontario Works for a job, Toronto)

If you leave Ontario Works because you start a job or earn more, you can keep some health coverage for a while. It can cover prescription drugs, vision care for children, eye exams, diabetic and surgical supplies, medical transportation and assistive device costs, and sometimes adult dental and glasses. It lasts 6 months and can be extended another 6 months if your job does not cover it.
