Interim Federal Health Program (IFHP)

The IFHP gives limited, temporary health care coverage to refugees and some other newcomers until they can get provincial health insurance. Basic care like hospital, doctor and lab services is free. Prescriptions cost $4 each, and extra care like dental, vision and counselling is 70% covered.
