Free eye exams with OHIP
OHIP pays for eye exams for some people in Ontario. Children and youth 19 and under get 1 major eye exam every 12 months, and adults 65 and over get 1 major eye exam every 18 months plus 2 follow-up visits. Adults 20 to 64 with certain medical conditions are also covered. Glasses and contact lenses are not covered by OHIP.
